Hawk Conservancy Trust

With an opportunity to double any funds raised during Earth Raise Week via match-funding from the Big Give organisation, bird of prey charity the Hawk Conservancy Trust asked us to help with the creation of assets for a fund-raising social media campaign.

 

The week-long campaign called for a variety of assets that would have fresh appeal with each post while simultaneously building brand/campaign recognition and a coherent thread of awareness for the fundraising message – namely raising vital funds for the protection of nesting trees for Endangered Lappet-faced Vultures in South Africa.

 

Our assets adopted a strong visual style and ranged from a simple story-telling animation to explain the challenge to shorter call-to-action posts to encourage support during the match-funding window.

 

With exposure mainly via Instagram and Facebook, the social media activity was backed-up by the client’s e-newsletters and website activity and, together, raised an impressive £20,000 to enable the Hawk Conservancy Trust to protect 8 of the threatened nesting trees. Phase two of the fundraising is now underway aiming to achieve a further £60,000 to protect the remaining 22 identified trees and give Lappet-faced Vultures a better chance at survival.

 

Speaking about Mondo’s support with the campaign, the Trust’s Head of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising Louise Cox said: “Neil stepped in to help us when we were short-staffed and produced a series of brilliant, carefully considered social posts as part of the Earth Raise campaign.  He delivered way beyond my expectations, the collection of posts looked fantastic, were on brand and helped to deliver the results of the campaign.  Mondo have a great understanding of us an organisation and what we’re trying to achieve yet give an impartial perspective based on their industry experience, which is greatly appreciated.”
