Hawk Conservancy Trust

We’re continuing our long history of supporting wildlife conservation charities by helping the Hampshire-based Hawk Conservancy Trust with public relations activity.   As the specialist bird of prey charity’s work involves conservation and research projects both in the UK and overseas, the remit is broad - spanning everything from scientific observations and achievements to publicising day visits and special events for its visitor centre near Andover.   Both are crucial to help the Trust bring the public closer to birds of prey and to spread the word about the need for ongoing conservation and research to help protect an array of species, many of which are sadly critically endangered.   In addition to being the platform for gently education us all, visits to the Trust also provide an essential revenue stream to fun the charity’s work.   Results...

Look Up Street Art Festival

Continuing with its work supporting cultural events in Portsmouth, Mondo helped Portsmouth Creates with PR activity to help raise the profile of the city’s first ever Street Art Festival.   As the brainchild of Portsmouth’s own renowned street artist ‘My Dog Sighs’, the Look Up Festival aims to enliven, enrich and involve communities through Street Art – a global art phenomenon which has exploded in popularity due to its accessibility and ability to provide a social voice and fun through visual spectacle – think Banksy.   By creating launch press materials, Mondo contacted local, regional and national press to spread the word in advance of the two-day event, helping secure coverage in print and on TV and Radio.   More than 20,000 people are believed to have attended the event to tour artworks as they were...

Isle of Wight Zoo/The Wildheart Trust

When the Isle Of Wight Zoo rehomed five tigers who had spent years being forced to perform in a Spanish travelling circus, Mondo was asked to help with a public relations campaigns that maximised the potential of their arrival.   As part of The Wildheart Trust, the zoo provides the accommodation and care element of the charity’s work with big cats and exotic animals – supporting rescue projects and raising awareness of the plight of animals who become victims of the circus and pet trade.   Devising a PR strategy covering both pre and post arrival periods, Mondo was able to maximise the potential for the project to help raise not only awareness but also footfall and donations - essential for the ongoing provision of the tigers' new forever home as each costs approximately £12,000...
